taster lesson
Book a “Give It A Go” Taster Lesson. Our taster lessons are designed to be a no obligation session that gets you in and playing to see what we do, introduce you to the school and meet your tutor. We offer 1 hour and 45 min taster lessons depending on the duration of lesson that you plan on taking up with us on a regular basis. We’ll arrange the taster lesson at a time slot that’s good for you to commence regular tuition after the taster lesson.
FAQ
What happens at the taster lesson?
Taster lessons are a great introductory method for all level players, especially beginners. Here’s what to expect.
Beginners:
Drums are incredibly rewarding and fun to play. It is not as hard as you might think to get started. We’ll get you playing your first drum beat during your first lesson and you’ll be familiar with the drum kit in no time.
Intermediate:
If you have played drums before but you feel the need to brush up on your skills or just some fresh ideas you are in the right place. In your first lesson we’ll assess where you’re currently at and discuss your aims going forward with drumming.
Experienced:
Advanced-level players can benefit from specialist drum lessons, focussing on developing technical skills, reading skills, taking grades or just learning new concepts and styles. Ideal if you need to get back in shape after a bit of time off from drumming.
Do I need a drum kit?
No absolutely not. We advise if you haven’t already purchased a kit have some lessons settle in to the school and when you feel it’s time to get a set up our tutors can offer expert advice in this area to help with all budgets.
How can I pay for my lesson?
Cash is invited for the taster lesson. When you start the weekly lessons this can continue or there’s the option of bank transfer directly to your own personal tutor. The school doesn’t operate a card machine facility.

Can parents sit in with their child?
Yes by all means you can come in and settle children. However we do find that after the first 10-15 mins its best if we can take the session in a student to tutor 1:1 basis.
